The purpose of this Policy is to provide information about the management of confidential information by F3 Asset Advisory in an open and transparent manner. Confidential information must not be collected unless it is necessary for one or more of F3 Asset Advisory’ functions or activities. For each visitor to reach our website, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the website, page access times, referring website address etc. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalised content to you while you are at our website. From time to time, we may use confidential information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this Policy.
Quality of confidential information
F3 Asset Advisory will take reasonable steps to ensure the confidential information collected, used or disclosed is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, our company relies on individuals to advise of any changes to their information or corrections to the information held. Please advise us as soon as possible if there are any changes to your confidential information or if you believe the information we hold about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date. F3 Asset Advisory will take reasonable steps to protect the confidential information held from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure other than in accordance with this Policy. Our company will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify confidential information if it is no longer necessary for any purpose and it is not required by law to be retained. However, no data protection and security measures are completely secure. Despite all measures F3 Asset Advisory has put in place, we cannot guarantee the security of information particularly in relation to transactions over the internet. Accordingly, any information transmitted to our company is transmitted at an individual’s own risk. Individuals must take care to ensure protection of their information (i.e. by protecting usernames and passwords etc) and notify F3 Asset Advisory as soon as possible after an individual becomes aware of any potential or actual security breaches.
Access to confidential information
If F3 Asset Advisory holds confidential information, it will provide access to the information on request by the individual, except where this impinges on the rights owed to a body corporate or individual or where our company considers there are other reasonable grounds not to provide access in accordance with the APPs. Where F3 Asset Advisory declines a request to provide such information, it will provide the reasons to the individual unless it would be unreasonable to do so. An individual may lodge a complaint in respect of any refusal in accordance with this Policy. Upon request from an individual, F3 Asset Advisory will give access to the information in the manner requested by the individual if it is rational and practicable to do so within a reasonable period after the request. F3 Asset Advisory may impose a charge for the provision of access to the confidential information although no charge will apply to the making of the request.
If you wish to make a complaint about a suspected breach of this Policy or the APPs under the Privacy Act, you can contact F3 Asset Advisory providing details regarding your complaint and any supporting evidence and information. F3 Asset Advisory will investigate your complaint and notify you in writing of the determination. If you are not satisfied with F3 Asset Advisory determination, you can contact us to discuss your concerns or contact the Australian Privacy Commissioner.
